On Sunday October 7, I attended the 200th anniversary celebration service for Fee Fee Baptist Church, which is the oldest Protestant church west of the Mississippi. It was an exciting day. Just over five years ago the organizational meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Missouri was held at Fee Fee. Additionally, one of my ancestors, Thomas Musick, founded the church in 1807. Pictured is his New Testament, which Fee Fee has on display. A few years ago I wrote a column for the BGCM that mentioned the heritage of Fee Fee and Musick.
