Robertson Not Alone!

It turns out that (hatevangelist) Pat Robertson is not alone in his comments about Ariel Sharon. Making similar comments: radical Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (not sure which one should be most embarrassed by the comparison). The Seattle Times: Nation & World: Duo says Sharon's illness is deserved

Robertson's spokeswoman, Angell Watts, defended Robertson by attacking his critics (which I guess includes me): "What they're basically saying is, 'How dare Pat Robertson quote the Bible?' This is what the word of God says."

Hmmm ... I missed the verse about Sharon's stroke being because he took down the settlements (it must just be in Robertson's special translation). She is suggesting that one can quote a Bible verse when talking about a non-Biblical issue and then it cannot be attacked because they quoted a Bible verse, even if it is taken out of context.

With that crazy logic in mind I offer the following Bible verse to inform you of God's thoughts about Robertson's latest rant (and since I'm quoting a verse it must be correct and cannot be challenged by Robertson): "Jesus wept."
