Yesterday at Justice Sunday III, the Reverend Herbert Lusk attacked those who had criticized him and other "Just Us Sunday" speakers and then He threatened those critics:
“My friends, you know this and know this well. Don't fool with the church because the church has buried many a critic, and all the critics that we have not buried, we're making funeral arrangements for them!”
This is justice?! Why must we be so violent in our language? Maybe instead of plotting to kill and bury our enemies, we should try what Jesus did—love them and forgive them. In fact, since we should be willing to die for them the only funerals we should be planning are our own.
Sadly, this religious threat was issued by a cleric at a church service. This is why politics should be kept out of the church. Next time try just worshipping the Prince of Peace!
