Here is a story from Ethics Daily comparing the Enron case with that of the Baptist Foundation of Arizona. One similarity not mentioned is that Ken Lay, former Chairman and CEO of Enron, is also Baptist. In fact, his father was a pastor.
How sad it is to see two cases of financial scandals where people sometimes lost nearly all they had. What is even worse is that the alleged culprits claim to be Christians.
Right now our moral standing before the world seems pretty bankrupt. Until Christians start following the teachings of Jesus we will never be able to credibly communicate the Good News.
