Weekly Roundup

Here are a few stories from this week that deserve notice:

* The New York Times ran a profile of an Afghan who converted to Christianity and since has been fleeing (in multiple countries) relatives seeking to kill him. It offers a good reminder as to what real religious persecution looks like, as opposed to what some Christians in the U.S. claim to suffer.

* A new report says President Barack Obama's drone policy actually increases the risk of endless war. Put together by former Pentagon and CIA figures, it offers an important critique of Obama's misguided - and unconstitutional - strikes. Apparently peace cannot be achieved through war.

* Cliff Vaughn of Ethics Daily conducted a Skype video interview with Martin Accad, director of the Institute of Middle East Studies (IMES) at Arab Baptist Theological Seminary near Beirut, Lebanon. It is a good interview about the work of Lebanese Christians in thinking about living out their faith and calling in their context.
