Religious-Political Attacks

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has an article about the religious rhetoric flying in the U.S. Senate race between Harry Reid and Sharron Angle. The piece notes how Reid has used religious rhetoric in the past to attack his political opponents, but now complains about such religious-political attacks now that he is the target. Also, in the piece, John K. White of Catholic University of America rightly critiqued Angle's recent religious-political attacks:
If you say that the Democratic agenda violates the First Commandment then, by inference, that agenda is sinful. ... There's a difference between being sinful and being wrong.
That's an important point. Hopefully, Reid and Angle (and other candidates) will recognize the line between calling an opponent sinful and wrong. I noted some of Angle's recent religious-political claims in articles here and here.
