Huh?

The pastor who conducted talk show host Rush Limbaugh's fourth marriage offered an odd praise of Limbaugh's view of marriage. Although an outspoken pro-family preacher, Ken Hutcherson defended his decision to perform the ceremony for the thrice-divorced Limbaugh. Hutcherson argued:
The Buffalo Bills went to the Super Bowl and they lost a lot of times, but they never gave up. ... Rush Limbaugh never gave up on the institution of marriage.
Huh? It would seem that marriage should be viewed as much more important than a football game. But with this "logic" it seems Limbaugh's divorces do not matter because he decided to marry again and that the only inappropriate decision would have been to stay divorced. It is amazing how much people will change their religious beliefs just to support their political allies.

  1. The Buffalo Bills did not give up but they also did not change their name. Like sports, marriage takes practice. And like sports, marriage takes effort. It's unfortunate that people don't treat marriage as a team. Maybe then they would not give up so easily.
