Baptist Activist's Political Comeback Falls Short

Ethics Daily ran my latest article today, which is entitled "Baptist Activist's Political Comeback Falls Short." It covers Rick Green's unsucessful run for a position on the Texas Supreme Court, which came to an end on Tuesday. Green, whose past includes some political scandals, works for WallBuilders, which was founded by the pseudo-historian David Barton. Many of the controversial new education standards in Texas were the result of Barton's advocacy. Yesterday was also bad for Barton's political agenda as more of his endorsed School Board candidates were defeated, leaving only one of the five to be on the ballot this November. Green spoke today at a "TEA Party" rally in the Houston area.
