Verb

My latest column ran today in the BGCM Message, the newsletter of the Baptist General Convention of Missouri that appears in the Word&Way. The piece is entitled "Verb." In it I reflect on a recent suggestion that the verb use of the word "friend" (as made famous by Facebook) should be banished from usage. I argue that such usage actually reminds us of some important points and then consider what other words we should also use as verbs.
