Crusade?

A new report says that military officials in the George W. Bush administration often included biblical verses in their intelligence reports to Bush. The pictures of the reports are troubling as they paint the U.S. military action in Iraq as something of a crusade (as Bush actually called it one time but stopped because of criticism of the term). Robert Parham has a good column critiquing the mixing of Scripture into the reports. For the record, a former aide to Donald Rumsfeld denies that Rumsfeld had much to do with the reports, but apparently did not deny the use of biblical passages.
