Several articles came out this week about the upcoming
Baptist Border Crossing, which will be held April 2-4 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The
Word&Way had a good
article about the relationships being built and improved as a result of the Baptist Border Crossing. The
Springfield News-Leader had a
piece earlier this week, and the
St. Joseph News-Press had a brief
one today. Additionally, the
Kansas City Star had a good
piece today about the gathering. The article includes comments from Jimmy Carter and
Baptist General Convention of Missouri Executive Director Jim Hill. Carter stated:
We're trying to have harmony among traditional Baptists and show that you can have differences on social issues but come together under the phrase that we are 'saved by the grace of God through our faith in Jesus Christ.'
Any Baptist who agrees with that can work in harmony and put aside the things that divide us.
Amen! For more information about next week's gathering, visit
