Banished Words

For the 34th year, Lake Superior State University has released its list of words that should be banished. Here are some of the terms that made the list as a result of overuse or misuse during the past year: maverick, first dude, bailout, wall street/main street, game changer, and staycation. Some of these should--we can hope--be used less in 2009 as they were tied to the 2008 presidential campaign.
