Here is the gate at a church parking lot that has little crosses in it. I am not sure if I am supposed to think that is cute or ridiculous. I wonder how much extra they had to pay for that.
A gate, at a church. I don't know what to think. I mean, I can kind of understand it. We have people using our parking lot to bypass a stop sign all the time. I've thought a gate to keep them from speeding thru our parking lot.
However, the gate by nature is an item of exclusion and isolation. The very nature of it says, "you can't come in here!" So symbolically, I'm not sure if I would ever want a gate on church property.
Hm....

Maybe I'm over thinking this.

Interesting that the cross is a barrier....at this church.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments! Good observations that match my thoughts on the odd gate.
