Wrong Apology

Ethics Daily ran an article today about Missouri Baptist Convention interim executive director David Tolliver apologizing. Yet, he did not apologize for his recent attacks on the life-changing ministry of Windermere Baptist Conference Center but for criticizing the Confederate flag. (The Ethics Daily article is a follow-up to earlier pieces here and here.) In his newest column, Tolliver claims his original point was missed, but he only hurt that by now tearing apart his original analogy. Maybe next week he will finally live up to his original piece that caused the controversy. After all, he made his original point to argue that "people who are willing to assassinate the character of a fellow Missouri Baptist should not also claim to know and share the love of Christ." So, the apology that is really needed from him is one toward his brothers and sisters at Windermere that he wrongly attacked.
