Ethics Daily has article today about the growing anti-public school movement within Southern Baptists. The calls for an "exit strategy" continue as these critics hope to pull all Christian children out of public schools. I have dealt with this troubling mentality in two Ethics Daily columns: "Call Me Pollyanna" and "What Are They Teaching?"
In more encouraging news, the Assemblies of God has decided to take the opposite approach and train their teenagers on how to be better witnesses to their peers in public schools. It is refreshing to see some denominational leaders who understand the concept of being salt and light! We must not retreat from the world, but instead proclaim God's love to everyone.
