My latest column ran today in the BGCM Message, the newsletter page of the Baptist General Convention of Missouri that runs in each issue of the Word&Way (the newspaper for Missouri Baptists). The piece is entitled “What Have We ‘Plutoed’?” It offers some thoughts on the American Dialect Society’s 2006 Word of the Year (plutoed) and on changes made by some Baptists. It is a call to return to our historic Baptist principles.
