Apparently Planned Parenthood was selling a keychain with a parody of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel painting with the hand of God handing Adam a condom: WorldNetDaily: God, Adam on 'condom key chain'.
The Democratic Party lately has been spending a lot of time and energy attempting to win over evangelical Christians, but actions like this by allies make such attempts quite difficult. It also makes the attempts look insincere—after all, politicians will say nearly anything to get elected.

Apart from degree (and that's an important distinction I would agree) in what way are the heated protests against this keychain from evangelical Christians any different from the furor over some cartoons in a Danish newspaper?
ReplyDeleteMost of the people protesting the keychain never go to galleries and care nothing about art or culture. It's just a picture.
