What was he thinking?! Or was he? Thanks a lot Bennett. Because of his connections with the religious community, his outrageous political opinions reflect bad on Christians and not just him. What happened that led the author of The Book of Virtues to move so far away from virtuous communication?
Consider instead Paul's advice in Colossians 4:6--"Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one."

ReplyDeleteSanity Inspector,
ReplyDeleteYou make a good point, but that does not relieve Bennett of responsibility. He should not have said what he did because it was just plain wrong and inappropriate. And he definitely should have known that the media would jump on it--thus another reason why he should not have said it.
