The Religion Communicators Council announced the list of Wilbur Award winners they will honor at their annual awards banquet in April. My book, Presidential Campaign Rhetoric in an Age of Confessional Politics
, will receive the Wilbur Award for best nonfiction book. Winners in other categories this year include: 60 Minutes, CBS News Sunday Morning, Entertainment Weekly, Religion & Ethics Newsweekly, and The Help. Last year's nonfiction book winner was the impressive book American Grace: How Religion Divides and Unites Us by Robert Putnam of Harvard and David Campbell of Notre Dame. My book previously won the Bruce E. Gronbeck Political Communication Research Award from the Carl Couch Center for Social & Internet Research (see post here).
