For God's Sake, Shut Up!

This Blog is designed to teach Christians how to communicate effectively, which includes knowing when to remain silent. Sadly, Christians often do a poor job of communicating, which can make us look bad and drive people away from God. Sometimes I want to just say to those Christians: "For God's sake, shut up!" I don't mean that profanely. When Christians say dumb things it damages unbelievers' perceptions of our Lord and Savior. Thus we must confront these harmful statements.

    SBC Leader Invokes Nazis in Health-Care Discussion

    Ethics Daily ran my latest article today, which is entitled "SBC Leader Invokes Nazis in Health-Care Discussion." It is about comments made recently by Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. Despite complaints by Jewish leaders about comparisons to the Nazis being used in the health care debate, Land stands by the comparison.


    UPDATE [10-9-09]: Ethics Daily ran a column today by Richard V. Pierard that deals with the comments by Land.
