Baptists & Muslims |
| Tuesday, July 14, 2009 |
| Earlier this year, I reported on the first national dialogue between Baptist and Muslim leaders (see articles here, here, here, and here). Over the past few weeks, there have been some follow-ups to that effort. Sayyid Syeed of the Islamic Society of North America addressed the recent meeting of the American Baptist Churches, USA. The next week, Rick Warren spoke at the meeting of the Islamic Society of North America. Additionally, a couple of Baptists led a workshop session on the topic of dialoguing with Muslims during the recent meeting of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. |
