Pressed

It seems that Pat Robertson is making outrageous claims again. He says he can leg-press 2,000 pounds. Put in perspective, the record is only at 1,335 and that guy was not only much younger than the 76-year-old Robertson but had capillaries in his eyes burst when he did it (if you are going to tell a lie, at least try one that is believable).

The problem here is two-fold. First, he is once again being proven wrong and losing more credibility (he may not have much left, but he is dragging all Christians down with him). The second problem here is he could be guilty of making false claims about a product he is attempting to sell—his "age defying shake" (with as much as he is drinking, hopefully it does not actually work).

How sad that Pat's desire to brag about being manly might hurt the credibility of Christians—and thus our Savior—and drive people away from God's love.

  1. That is indeed pretty absurd. I wonder why he doesn't at least try to get within plausibility, though. That's so random, too. W-E-I-R-D.

    Keep it coming.
